Accessibility statement

Southeast Public Health is committed to ensuring equitable access to our programs, services, facilities, and information for all members of our community. We are committed to treating all people in a way that respects their dignity and independence, while promoting integration, inclusion, and equal opportunity.

We will identify, remove, and prevent barriers to accessibility and will meet the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act and the Integrated Accessibility Standards.

To support this commitment, we will make reasonable efforts to:

  • Provide programs and services in a manner that respects the dignity, independence, and individual needs of people with disabilities.
  • Provide equitable access to our programs and services, using alternate methods when necessary to ensure accessibility.
  • Communicate in ways that consider each person’s communication needs.
  • Permit the use of personal assistive devices and welcome support persons, service animals, communication aids, cognition aids, mobility aids, medical devices, and other assistive technologies, unless prohibited by law.
  • Provide accessible information and communications, including alternate formats and communication supports upon request and in a timely manner.
  • Seek opportunities to identify, remove, and prevent barriers that may limit access to our services, information, facilities, or employment.
