The Southeast Public Health Board of Health met yesterday in Kingston for their regular monthly meeting. The agenda package is available online.
Strategic Plan update
The Board received the preliminary Strategic Plan Costing and Resource Report, as an information item. It addresses the resources and financial requirements to implement the priorities set out in the Board’s 2026-28 Strategic Plan.
Further development of the plan is needed before it is released.
Governance Committee
At the recommendation of the Governance Committee, the Board approved a meeting stipend of $200 for the Board Chair and provincial representatives, effective January 2027. Currently they receive $150 for attendance at regular or special meetings of the Board, committee meetings, and business meetings on behalf of the Board. Municipal representatives do not receive a meeting stipend from the Board, as they receive compensation from their respective municipality.
